Summer Movie Ticket Giveaway
Each presenting whole blood or platelet donor to ARUP Blood Services donor centers in Sandy and Salt Lake City will receive a movie ticket good for one of several theaters along the Wasatch Front. This fun life-saving promotion starts Monday, July 1, 2010 and will last for the first 1,000 presenting donors so don’t wait too long to come in to ARUP Blood Services!

This fun life-saving promotion starts Thursday, July 1, 2010 and will last for the first 1,000 presenting donors so don’t wait too long to come in to ARUP Blood Services!
The summer time is traditionally a very difficult time to collect blood because of vacations, holidays, and the loss of high school blood drives. July in particular is sometimes the most difficult month of the year because of the 4th of July holiday and the Pioneer day holiday on the 24th of July. So, to help maintain the blood supply for patient in need of blood, we are having some summer fun to let our donors help save lives and go see a movie.
ARUP Blood Services needs 100 donors a day to meet the needs of the hospitals. We also need 20 platelet donors each day. ARUP is the sole blood provider to University Hospital, Huntsman Cancer Hospital, Primary Children’s Medical Center, and Shriners Hospital for Children. There are 48 hospitals in Utah but these four alone use around 25 percent of the blood in the state. Please help us maintain the blood supply during the summer and come in to donate blood at one of our donor centers in Salt Lake City or Sandy starting July 1, 2010.
