Summer Picnic for Pints
ARUP Blood Services will be holding a barbeque picnic for blood and platelet donors every other Thursday this summer. The first picnic will be May 22, 2008, and each barbeque will start at 11 a.m. The picnics will be held at our donor centers located at Research Park and Green Street in Murray.Click here for a map to our blood donor centers.
The summertime is often the most challenging period for our community's blood supply. You can help prevent summer blood shortages.

- Pre-schedule your donations for the entire summer. We'll be happy to remind you of your appointments with a phone call.
- Host a blood drive at your office, community, church, or school.
- Recruit a new blood donor. Experienced blood donors are the best recruiters.

O+ and A- blood types are needed to help patients at the hospitals.
Summer Donors
The sun is out, but don't forget to come in and donate blood. Hospitals are seeing a huge increase in trauma patients this summer, so please come in and donate today!
Platelets
We are looking to expand our platelet donor base. If you have donated whole blood, please consider becoming a platelet donor today.
