The Donation Process

Make an Appointment

Register

  • Bring a valid photo ID.
  • Complete a registration form with your medical history.
  • Save time by filling out the XPress Pass on the day of your appointment and bring your QR code.

If you are under 19 years old, you will need to bring a signed parent permission slip. Visit our Donor Qualifications pages for more information.

Health Screening

  • We will check your blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and hematocrit (iron) level to ensure it’s safe for you to donate.
  • You’ll answer a few questions about your health in a private setting to confirm you meet all donor qualifications.

Some donors may be deferred based on FDA guidelines.

Donate

  • A medical professional will clean your arm and insert a sterile needle.
  • A pint of blood is will be collected while you relax.
  • The process will usually take justs 6–10 minutes.

Rest and Recover

  • Spend at least 10 minutes eating snacks and hydrating after your donation.
  • Avoid strenuous activities for the rest of the day.
  • Most donors will feel fine after donating and can return to their normal activities

Schedule Your Next Appointment

  • If you’re 16–18 years old: You can donate every 180 days.
  • If you are 19 years or older: You can donate every 56 days.

We’ll do our best to notify you when your donation has been used.
